At Newhaven Church we believe that we have a duty to nurture our Church family and those in our wider community. In part we can do this through encouraging learning and relationship building in fun and engaging ways for all ages.

There are a vast array of activities and groups for children including Messy Church, Boys Brigade and Newhaven Toddlers. 

Messy church runs once a month – a way of being church for people of all ages involving fun.

Chatterboxes is a Scripture Union group for P5-7 children from Victoria and Trinity Primaries, which meets on a Monday after school till 4:30pm.

20th Leith Boys Brigade

The 20th Leith Company meets on Friday evenings at Newhaven Church, is open to boys from P1 - S6 and is loads of fun. We run classes, go on exciting trips, take part in competitions, put boys through their Duke of Edinburgh awards, go to camp and much more besides.

Newhaven Connections is a community café run by Newhaven Church.  We are open on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday each week from 10am – 3pm and family friendly.

The café is a light, bright and airy space, with plenty of room for buggies, walking aids and wheelchairs. There is step-free access from the street, an accessible toilet and baby-change facilities.

Newhaven Toddlers meet on Tuesday mornings from 10am till 12pm in the main Church halls at 7 Craighall Road, Edinburgh

The age range is from newborn to pre-school.

The cost is a very reasonable. It is £20 per term per family.  Many stay on for lunch in our Church community Café afterwards.
